How to sow
2.5cm deep in drills, with 30cm between rows
Thin seedlings to 5cm once the first rough leaf appears. Thin again until the plants have 10cm between them.
How to harvest
Pull the early sowings as required as soon as they are large enough for eating
How to store
Roots should be lifted with a dork in October. Twist off the tops and shake the soil from the roots. Store in boxes of sand in a rodent free and frost free shed.

2 to 5 months.

Flea beetle. Use fleece covers.
One disease and it’s controls
Downy mildew. Use copper/lime dusts when there is dew on the crop. Ensure the crop is planted in a good, enriched soil.
