Manage User Accounts
Name the types of local user accounts
Administrator - full access
Standard - full access but can’t make changes for other accounts
Managed with Parental controls - standard account with PC controls
Guest - free account with no password but data is temporarily saved
Sharing only- can share but not be logged into
What other types of user accounts can macOS use in addition to local user accounts?
Network User- available to multiple Macs
-stored on a shared directory server such as Active Directory
Mobile user- a network user account that has been synced with local user database
-allows for access even when can’t contact the shared directory
What are account attributes?
Individual pieces of info used to define a user account eg User ID
How can you limit a user account from having full access to all apps?
Parental controls
What does fast user switching allow you to do?
Lets a Mac switch between user accounts without users having to log out or quit apps.
