What is a systematic theology?
An ordered account of what the Bible teaches organised by a topic
What is the first mention principle?
Is to seek out what the Bible says about a topic the first time (chronologically) it is mentioned.
True or False: The first mention of a topic can be determined by looking at the first time a word is used in the Bible.
False, it has to be mentioned first “chronologically”
What does the progressive mention principle teach us?
Teaches us that the truth of God’s message will become (increasingly) clear as you continue to read the bible
What is the full mention principle?
Is that God will give us all we need to know about a given subject that is vital to our spiritual lives.
How is a systematic theology developed?
By applying the three (the first, progressive and the full mention principles) correctly
