Wanted to understand ‘dangerous’ world to change it.
A history focused on practices of societies.
Human agency is central - studying collective elements in human consciousness, wanted to identify underlying structures that change societies a lot.

A

Says ideas need to mature and develop, not everyone is ready or agrees straight away.
