  • There would eventually be a food shortage
  • After a while the same companies they were working for would sell them the materials to grow the food they need
  • Africans are made to adapt to foreign crops
  • They had to get used to the new rice instead of the rice that grew naturally
  • Their palates became colonized
  • Bioprospecting:
  • Prospectors would go to Africa to identify the crops that would be useful to Europe, then they would take the seeds to grow in Europe
