Gluteus Maximus
Extends hip (largest butt muscle)
Gluteus medius
Abducts hip/ thigh (above gluteus Maximus)
Gracillis
Adducts hip/ thigh (inner thigh)
Vastus lateralis
Extends knee (lateral quad muscle, 1/4 quad)
Vastus medialis
Extends knee (medial quad muscle, 1/4 quad)
Vastus intermedius
Extends knee (deep to Rectus femorus quad muscle, 1/4 quad)
Sartorius
External rotation of hip (crosses over quad muscles)
Bicep femoris
Flexes knee, extends hip (lateral hamstring muscle, 1/3 hamstring)
Semitendinosis
Flexes knee, extends hip (middle upper hamstring muscle, 1/3 hamstring)
Semimembranosis
Flexes knee, extends hip (deep to semitendinosis hamstring muscle, 1/3 hamstring)
Tibialis anterior
Dorsiflex ankle (lateral to shin)
Gastrocnemius
Plantarflexes ankle (calf muscle)
Calcaneal tendon
Plantarflexes ankle (connects to calf muscle)
Soleus
Plantarflexes ankle (deep to calf muscle)
