- > indicate how many they saw/experience
- measurement if they had PTSD or not
- if PTSD: after 15m remembered more than after 5m
- no PTSD remember about same negative experience at 5m and at 15m
- > people infere that if they have symptoms they might have seen horrible things (otherwise i would not experience that much)
- suffering is real, memory may not be

A
- people can suffer from highly unlikely events
- some people believe they were abducted by aliens
- 6 (of 10) had PTSD
- > before they had previous quasi-hypnotic session to recover all detailed ‘memories’ -> made them even more suffer
- victims scored higher on absorption. magical ideation and association
- had higher physiological reactions to abduction and negative scripts
- also higher rates of self-reported fear, arousal and imagery vividness after abduction tapes than controls
