Q

Why is long term dieting difficult?

A

Long term dieting could become difficult cause it could hinder the individual’s relationship with food. There are certain diets that promote imbalanced diets, all in the name of “losing weight”. However, especially with diets that promote extreme weight loss, the body will try to save itself because it believes it’s being harmed. Long term dieting also poses the risk of potentially gaining the weight that was lost once the individual returns to their initial
diet.

A

It will not lead to weight loss overtime because the body will be going into starvation mode. At first, change may be seen, but after a while the body will be stunted because it is trying to survive.
