Transduction is the pathway of each active protein made due to the binding of the signalling molecule to the receptor molecule, until it reaches the final protein to evoke cellular response.

Response is the way the cell responds to the signalling molecule.

How does long distance cell signalling work?
A
The signaling molecules (hormones) are secreted by specialized endocrine cells and carried through the circulation to act on target cells at distant body sites.
