Selected list of “suitable” parties
Single Bid - Pre Qualification
contact fills out questionnaire , then put on list
Single Bid - Negotiated
Negotiations with know/trusted employer
Two Bid - Two Stage Selective
1) Bids on “basic version” of project, become preferred contractor and works with design team
2) Submit price for final tender for complete design
Two Bid - Framework Agreement
Tender to construct a number of projects
3) Tender Period
4-8 weeks to respond to questions and clarifications and pricing of tender
Pricing A Tender
Considering documentation, risks, requirements and funding needed
4) Tender Returns
Must be submitted by closing date at place/manner of instructions
5) Choosing Tender
“tender report” is produced that balances the cost, quality and time of tender
6) Acceptance of Tender
Chosen based of tender report, writes a formal letter of acceptance
