Prepared by principal contractor, containing site rules, health/safety, guidance, Risk assessment, method statements and Schedule 3
Schedule 3
Guidance Document for work involving specific risks (high voltage, explosives, drowning)
Welfare Facilities
Responsibility to ensure adequate welfare facilities (sanitary, washing, lockers, rest)
Competence & Training
Sufficient knowledge for tasks and experience to carry our duties
Responsibility to ensure workers are informed through induction and risks assessment
RIDDOR 2013
Legal duty on employers to report and keep record of work related death, injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences
Method Statement
Logical Sequence and plan of how a job is performed, including risks and measures. Good for higher risks/ complex work
Reportable Injuries
Death, Specific Injuries (Broken Bones, Amputation, permanent damage) or “over 7 days”
Reportable Diseases
Report diagnosis of diseases caused from the workplace (Severe Cramp, carpal tunnel syndrome, asthma, cancer)
Reportable Dangerous Occurrences
Near miss events, incident with potential to cause harm (collapse of lifts, contact with power lines, explosions, stopping work for 24h)
