What do we find from brain damaged patients and anaesthesia?
A
Not always possible to determine consciousness from behaviour alone.
fMRI showed similiar activation for healthy and comatised patients

How does IIT propose measuring consciousness?
A
Algorithm of complexity. Levels of consciousness not directly linked to levels of neural activity or synchrony.. Require complexity in variable connections (e.g. football fan analogy)

Which part pf brain is integral to consciousness?
A
Corticothalamic loop. Thalamus is the relay station of the brain. Fits with global theories.
