Dopamine gets release leading to satiety
Changes in the dopamine repsonse lead to more smoking
How does bupropion treat smoking addiction?
Inhibits re-uptake of dopamine
What is the point of nicotine replacement therapy?
To provide alternate sources of nicotine to get satiety without consuming tobacco like sprays, gums, tablets and inhalers

25mg/16hrs nicotine patch

What are the advantages of a smoker switching to vaping?
Lower carcinogen exposure
Resp related toxins much lower
Cardiovascular disease toxins significantly lower
What are some takeaway points for vaping?
If you smoke switch to vaping
If you don’t smoke don’t vape
Vaping is much less harmful than smoking but not risk free
