what is the definition of health (WHO)?
“A state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity”
What is intellectual health?
the perception of and motivation for an individuals optimal level of stimulating intellectual activities
(education, education opportunities and what do these bring in terms of job prospects, security and home)
what is social health?
the interaction with and support of others in the community
what is Emotional health?
focuses around your attitudes and beliefs towards yourself and also your life
(such as ability to deal with stress)
what is environmental health?
the balance between home and work life as well as an individuals relationships with nature and community resources
(eg. diseases in community, safe water and food etc)
what is spiritual health?
purpose and meaning in life, the self in relation to others, the community, nature, the universe or some higher power. also to do with the creation of your personal values and beliefs. not just about religion but being in touch with yourself and your values

relevant in terms of cardiovascular fitness, flexibility or strength

Regional, low SES (social economic status), elderly, children, homeless, indigenous peoples, individuals with health diseases/disability
