Q

What is ubiquitin

A
  • 76 amino acid polypeptide
  • Covalently bonded at its C terminal glycine-76 to a lysine in the target protein or another ubiquitin molecule to form polyubiquitin chains
  • Called ubiquitylation or ubiquitination
