T2 is necessary for complete thermogenic response in combination with T3. What does T2 act on and where?
A
T2 activates AMPK (so phosphorylation signaling of Thermogenesis) which increases fatty acid oxidation in the CYTOSOL of the cells. Remember that T3 increases transcription of UCP genes, so it’s acting in the nucleus.
