What is the fundamental attribution error?
Tendency to underestimate situational influences on behaviour and to overestimate the influence of personal dispositions.
Do we see reality and people as they are?
No. We think our perceptions are accurate, but in reality, we interpret reality in our own way, which can create biases, etc.
What are subjective construals?
Our interpretations of situations and people. It happens automatically and non consciously. They influence our behaviour.
Why do we have this need to belong?
It is thought to be the result of evolutionary pressure. Group living served in survival and natural selection is bought to have favoured variants that promote affiliation
What is the description of social psychology?
The scientific attempt to understand and explain how the feelings, thoughts, and behaviours of individuals are influence by the actual or perceived feelings, thoughts, and behaviours of others.
