usual conditions are found
community
a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the
absence of disease and infirmity. The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of
health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of
race, religion, political belief or economic and social condition (WHO, 1994)
Health
health status of a defined group of people and actions and
conditions to promote, protect, preserve their health and prevent diseases.
Community Health
are actions that society takes collectively to ensure the conditions in
which people can be healthy. It is a part of paramedical and medical
intervention/approach which is concerned on the health of the whole population.
Public Health
• is the Science and art of preventing diseases, prolonging life and promoting health
through the organized effort of the society
Community and Public Health
have low population density and large amounts of undeveloped land
RURAL COMMUNITY
a product of natural free will of the people having extreme similarity in their objectives
and ambitions of living

can refer to towns, cities, and suburbs. An urban area includes the city itself, as
well as the surrounding areas
