The acute appearance of watery feces, caused by pathogens in the intestinal tract that lead to decreased water absorption.
What are causative agents of calf diarrhea?
e. coli, salmonella, rotavirus, coronavirus, crypto
What does BRD stand for?
Bovine respiratory disease
What are the causative agents of BRD?
Pasteurella haemolytica, pasteurella multocidam mycoplasma dispar
What does a calf with respiratory disease look like?
lethargy, cough, eye/nasal discharge, ear droop or tilt, fever
What are risk factors for disease?
Inadequate colostrum, inadequate caloric intake, stress
Risk factors to BRD?
noxious gases, dust, mold in the air, previous diarrhea history
