animals cannot enter in contracts because they do not speak and cannot reason, animals are not worthy of moral consideration

Each animal matters for its own sake, we have duties to animals and should not use them to benefit others

A
Humans have different relations to different types of animals, bonds with animals are important, focus on animals as individuals

A
concern for “natural form”, look at species not individual, species has value in itself
