Lear 45 TCAS Air conditioning Flashcards
In a dual generator failure what happens to cabin temp control?
Normal temp control is automatic and powered by the main bus. Since the main bus is shed after a dual gen failure, manual control of the temp is still possible since it is powered by the R Ess bus.
At what temperature is a CAB DUCT OVHT warning generated?
300º
What happens if both channels of the CPC (cabin pressure controller) fail?
The outflow valves will close and the cabin pressure will go up to 9.7 psid.
What happens to the emergency depressurization system if there is no power?
It will not work.
What powers the environmental control unit
HP bleed air
What are pressures correspond to the Hi and Normal positions of the Pack (ECU) Bi-level PRSOV (pressure shut off valve)?
Normal - 18 psi, High - 26 psi
What temperature is the air that comes out of the Pack and is sent to the overhead cockpit and cabin vents?
37 degrees
Where does the air come from that cools the HP bleed air going through the pack?
From a scoop on top of the tailbone.
How is the cabin heated?
The Environmental control unit mixes 37degree air with HP bleed air.
How is the baggage compartment heated?
Heated by six electrically powered blanket heaters which maintain the compartment at 40 degrees.
When do the crew foot warmers activate?
When cockpit temperature goes below 60 degrees F.
