What is the Gettysburg Leadership Encounter (GLE) and what class supports this program?
The Gettysburg Leadership Encounter is sponsored by the USNA Class of 1977 and NAAA. GLE is set against the backdrop of one of the most significant military engagements in our nation’s history to facilitate an impressiveexperience for incoming varsity team captains and midshipmen commanders to convey meaning and purpose, as they lead peers and teams at USNA.
What do we do with the Travis Manion Foundation?
Spring Break trip over five days, hiking in and around the Shenandoah Valley trails and waterways. Similar to the Outward Bound hike, this veteran and midshipmen expedition challenges participants to negotiate leadership scenarios in a cold, austere, and dynamic outdoor environment, often at altitude. Guides teach trail behavior, survival skills, teamwork, and leadership skills such as those practiced by Marine Captain Travis Manion, USNA Class of 2004.
What is the Influence the Influencer program?
Training and mentorship of USNA’s faculty, staff, administrators, and coaches on the Yard to ensure that the entire yard is on the same page in terms of messaging/training of leadership for all Midshipmen

Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture. One LREC led by MJ Pallotta includes a trip to Vietnam for cultural immersion and battlefield study
