Neuro changes: IQ decreases, cognitive impairment, changes in behavior: maladaptive behavior, aggression, antisocial behavior
Why are children at higher risk of lead poisoning?
Children are at higher risk for absorption because they breathe in more air per body size
Signs and symptoms of lead poisoning?
Behavior, learning issues, anemia, lower IQ, hyperactivity, hearing problems, irritability, lethargy, anorexia, and occasional abdominal discomfort, arthralgia, headache, tremors, constipation, anemia
High Levels: encephalopathy, severe abdominal cramps, paralysis
