while fixing tibia, draw foot anteriorly by holding foot
(+) increased ant translation compared to other side c dimple on anterolateral

while holding tibia in place, push ankle forward at heel
(+) sucking in the skin on both sides of achilles
talar tilt test
for calcaneofibular lig
pt sitting c feet hanging off
foot in anatomical position then bring foot into inversion and eversion
(+) pain or excessive gapping
kleiger test
hold tibia and fibula
df the foot and externally rotate
(+) high ankle injury: pain over ant or post tibiofibular lig
(+) deltoid lig injury: medial pain/feels telus will displace
feiss line test
place dot on navicular, distal aspect of med malleolus, first mtp joint
draw a line between distal dots
(+) pes planus: if navicular falls below line
(+) pes cavus: if navicular is above line
1st degree flat foot
feiss test: if Tubercle falls 1/3 of a distance to the floor
2nd degree flat foot
feiss test: if Tubercle falls 2/3 of a distance to the floor
3rd degree flat foot
feiss test: if Tubercle rests on the floor
thompson test
aka calve squeeze test or simmond’s test
achilles tendon rupture
pt in prone
squeeze calf muscle
(+) no plantarflexion
morton’s test
neuroma
stress fx
compress the distal metatarsal heads together
(+) pain
hoffa’s test
calcaneal fracture
pt in prone
palpate achilles tendon
make pt df and pf
