- To know if data is held about them on a computer system
- To know the purpose for which the data is being processed and for who
- To inspect such data and have it changed if inaccurate

- Data held must be held for specified purpose described in Register entry only
- Data held must be accurate and up to date
- Data held must be relevant to the purpose for which they are held

- Register with the Data Protection Commissioner
- Apply for permission to keep personal data on computers
- State what data they want to keep, its purpose and who has access to it

A
It is where details about who holds information on all members of public on computer systems are held

A
The person who oversees the administration of the act and who deals with complaints about data accuracy
