LC can consider big picture, overall areas of law allowing for consistency and clarity
less burden on Parliament shoulders, increase in parliamentary law making time for emergency/ important reasons
disadvantages of law commission
many LC reports go on unimplemented
-some areas of the law may be outdated
government not legally obliged to consult law commission
types of pressure groups
sectional pressure groups
represent the interests of particular group of people
types of pressure groups
cause pressure groups
promote particular ideas
