Q

Why are processes important to team effectiveness?

A

Social loafing occurs when each member’s contribution isn’t clearly visible, reducing effort in teams. However, diverse groups should create outputs beyond their inputs, fostering creative alternatives.

(Note; Psychologists define social loafing as the tendency to put in less effort when working as part of a group, compared to when working individually. Social loafing is one of the reasons why groups sometimes work ineffectively.)
