Landing Gear Flashcards

1
Q

How is the gear normally operated?

A

HYD pressure from the right system is routed through the selector valve and to the gear actuators. The same HYD pressure releases the main and nose gear up locks. On retraction R HYD pressure operates the actuators and the up locks are mechanically latch. HYD system pressure will hold the gear up with the up lock as a backup in the event of a HYD malfunction. Gear has over-center lock in down position.
