Flight Control System Flashcards
MMO limit with mach trim inop
.77 Mi
How is roll control achieved?
Using manual ailerons and HYD fly by wire roll spoilers.
In the event of an aileron jam how can roll control be regained?
Aileron disconnect handle on pilots yoke.
If aileron disconnect is pulled how is roll controlled?
The pilots yoke is disconnected from the mechanical aileron linkage. 2 RVDTs detect yoke position and transmit it to each FCECU. the FCECU command the position of their respective multifunction spoiler causing the aircraft to roll left or right.
How is the rudder controlled?
Rudder input is digitally transmitted to the FCECUs by the rudder feel trim unit. FCECUs then send commands to two electro hydraulic servo actuators which position the rudder.
How is the rudder trimmed?
Rudder trim switch on center console sends signal to FCECUs.
Once disconnected, if the pilot’s elevator control is found to be operative, what is not available?
The stick pusher, autopilot pitch control, and Q-feel.
