Landing Gear Flashcards
Describe the OFF position of the Landing Gear lever
Landing gear hydraulic system is depressurized
How many degrees do the nose wheel move with tiller vs rudder pedals?
70 degrees Tiller vs 7 degrees Rudder Pedals
Brake Source amber light indicates
Active brake hydraulic sources (4, 1 & 2) have low pressure
What does a white crosshatched expanded gear position indication mean?
Related landing gear is in transit
What conditions must be satisfied to allow landing gear lever lock to release?
Main gear must be tilted
Body gear must be centered
What value on brake temperature monitoring system cause BRAKE TEMP EICAS?
5 or more
How does landing gear alternate extension work?
Press Alternate Gear Extension:
-Gear uplocks and doors electronically released
-Gear free falls
-Gravity and air loads extend the gear
-Springs pull down locks into locked position
Why pressurize Hydraulic System 4 first?
When parking brake is set and then released, brake hydraulic return lines dump in to system 4. Prevents transfer of hydraulic fluid from system 1 or 2 in to system 4.
What does EICAS LIMITER indicate?
-Brake torque limiter failed on more than one wheel/truck
-Park brake released and park brake valve not fully open
-Brake system control unit power loss occurs
