Ammavaru smiled and said to Sage Narada not to worry, and from her one small smile emerged an entire army force of 10s & 1000s of warriors who looked very charged and ready for the battle against Bhandasura. This army looked like rays coming from rising Sun, 1000s and 1000s of them emerging and it was beyond one’s capacity to count the force.

Q
  1. Jwala-malini-kakshiptha-vahni-prakaara-madhyaka
A

Pronounciation: VuhNHI
Bhandasura has a fort to protect himself and his army, but Devi thalli does not. Hence, Varaha Devi envisions a fort and using Jwalamalini’s power builds a fort with a fence of fire to protect the eight devis and their families. The fort is 100 yojanas wide by 300 yojanas long. There are two layers inside the fort; the antarvarana (inner layer) and the bahiravarana (outer layer). Amma, Syamala Devi, Varaha Devi, Sampathkari Devi, Asvaruda Devi and their families, with Lalithambika in the center were in the antarvarana (inner layer). The bahiravarana (outer layer) has innumerable shakthi senas (over 60 crores). Jwanalamalini is one of the tidhi nithya devis.
Other interpretation: Vunhi means day and prakara means night; Lalitha Devi is in the middle of those time zones and is untouched by both and is untouched by time.
Jwala-agni = spark created from fire

Q
  1. Bhanda-sainya-vado-dyuktha-shakthi-vikrama-harshitha
A

Devi thalli is resplendent with happiness when she saw the courage, enthusiasm, and eagerness of the army gathered to attack Bhandasura’s army.

Udyukta = getting ready and enthusiastic. Harshitha- displaying happiness

73
Q
  1. Nithya-parakra-matopa-nireekshana-samutsuka
A

Amma is happy to see the valor of the 15 thidhi devis, who are kalasvarupinis and incharge of time (there are 15 days between pournami and amvasya and vice versa). Just thinking about their names is beneficial; the 15 tidhi devis are Kaamesvari, Baaghamaalini, Berunda, Vahnivaasini, Mahaavajreswari, Sarvamangala, Thwaritha, Kulasundari, Nithya, Neelapathaaka, Jwalamalini, Chithra, Nityaklinna, Shivadhooti, Vijaya.
Vishankudu sends 15 cheekata shakthis (dark forces) at night to beat the devis from behind (surprise attack). The 15 kanthi shakthis (thidhi devis) destroy the 15 cheekathi shakthis. Amma is happy to say the devis triumph (parikrama). The tidhi devis are all amma too.
Deeper interpretation: We have those shakthis too but we use it for bhogha shakthis (eating sleeping etc,) but yogis use them properly and as a result receive moksham. If we sit in front of devi and think about her, she will destroy the dushta shaktis within us. She will destroy the Bhandasurudu inside us. Aganda shakthi rises up and enters antarkarana (mind, ego and intellect) and destroys the dark forces therein. We have knowledge but they are sleeping (which makes us animalistic if not used) because we are not doing sadana. But if we try, she will take us higher.
