Do not over reach. (Make sure centre of body stay is in line within the strings of ladder)

Beam Gantry operational safety points?

A

Appliance drivers be aware that a minimum of 10meters behind the appliance is required to safely remove ladders.

Before removing beam gantry, ensure there are no overhead obstructions. 4.2 meters approximately.

Crews must check that the automatic safety catch is engaged to prevent beam gantry deploying when appliance is in motion

Slide mechanism can move along beam when no ladder is in place. Pin must be in place to prevent this.

Beam gantry must be replaced to stowed position when not in use to prevent it being a hazard

Sliding surfaces use solid bearings, which require NO oiling. Just was with clean water and clean cloth.

Take care to avoid knocking ladder when moving equipment or hose
