ASCUS-
A
- atypical squamous of undetermined significance
- 21-24: Repeat in 12 months. No HPV testing
- 25+: HPV reflex, if + then colposcopy, - repeat in 3 yrs

A
- Atypical squamous
- Cannot exclude a high grade lesion
- Refer for colposcopy
- No HPV testing
- High risk of premalignant lesion

LSIL
A
- Low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion
- 21-24: Repeat in 12 months. No HPV testing
- 25-29: Colposcopy
- 30+ HPV - repeat co test 12 months, + or unknown- colposcopy

A
- High grade squamous intraepithelial lesion
- 21-24: colposcopy
- 25+ Gyn referral- colposcopy and Leep without colposcopy

AGC
A
- Atypical glandular cells
- May indicate uterine CA
- HPV testing not necessary
- Refer to gyn for colposcopy of cervix & endometrium

Colposcopy
A
- Microscope to illuminate cervix f/u for abn pap
- Acetic acid turns abnormal cells white

LEEP
A
- Excision procedure
- Electrical current around transformation zone, wire loop
- Hemostasis with cautery

Cryotherapy
A
- Ablative procedure
- Therapeutic tx of abnormal cells
- Not diagnostic
