• 21-24: Repeat in 12 months. No HPV testing
• 25+: HPV reflex, if + then colposcopy, - repeat in 3 yrs

• Atypical squamous
• Cannot exclude a high grade lesion
• Refer for colposcopy
• No HPV testing
• High risk of premalignant lesion

Question 3

LSIL

Answer 3

• Low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion
• 21-24: Repeat in 12 months. No HPV testing
• 25-29: Colposcopy
• 30+ HPV - repeat co test 12 months, + or unknown- colposcopy

Question 4

HSIL

Answer 4

• High grade squamous intraepithelial lesion
• 21-24: colposcopy
• 25+ Gyn referral- colposcopy and Leep without colposcopy

Question 5

AGC

Answer 5

• Atypical glandular cells
• May indicate uterine CA
• HPV testing not necessary
• Refer to gyn for colposcopy of cervix & endometrium

• Microscope to illuminate cervix f/u for abn pap

- Acetic acid turns abnormal cells white

Answer 7

• Excision procedure
• Electrical current around transformation zone, wire loop
• Hemostasis with cautery
