Lab 1: Chapman's Reflexes Lab Flashcards
Fascial congestions resulting from lymph stasis secondary to visceral dysfunction (due to inflammation, spasm, or distention) describes what?
Gangliform contractions
Vibratory stimulation is utilized for reduction/elimination of the Chapman’s Points, what are the 3 steps utilized?
1) Apply somewaht heavy and even uncomfortable pressure to gangliform mass
2) Slowly move tip of finger in circular (clock or counterclockwise) –> continue for 10-30 sec
3) Cease treatment when mass disappears or patient can no longer tolerate procedure
Where are the Chapman’s points for the Arms (anterior or posterior)?
Posterior:
- Superior medial border of scapula
- C2 lateral to SP
