Describe changes in energy
Become fatigued and lethargic, high inactivity
May have lots of nervous energy so are restless
Describe sleep pattern disturbance
May have insomnia or hypersomnia
Describe aggressiona nd self harm
Irritable so may be physically e.g. through self harm, or verbally aggressive
State emotional characteristics
Loss of enthusiasm
Constant depressed mood
Worthlessness
Anger
What’s a loss of enthusiasm
Less concern with enjoyable activities and feeling less pleasure in doing them
What is a constant depressed mood?
Feeling overwhelmingly low, sad, hopeless, and empty
Describe worthlessness
Feeling less worth, inappropriately guilty, and low self-esteem
Describe anger
Displacing anger towards others, or themselves
Wanting to retaliate from feeling hurt

Believing things although reality contradicts it
Can be guilt, punishment
