High self esteem
Strong personal identity
What is environmental mastery
Extent to which a person is able to successfully work, efficiently problem solve, and have good interpersonal relations
What’s integration
Ability to use self attitudes and personal growth to cope well on stressful situations
What is personal growth
Extent of development, self-actualisation and being your ideal self
What is perception of reality
Not distorted too optimistic, too pessimistic
Empathy
Define autonomy
Degree to which a personal can make their own decisions individual to social influences
Advantage related to positivity?
Criteria are what we should strive for
Productive
Helps us to know what we should be to be psychologically healthy
Disadvantage related to measurement?
Abstract
Hard to define and measure
Don’t know at what point = abnormality
Not scientific
Disadvantage related to achievement?
Hard to achieve all at one time
Many people classed as abnormal
Normal to be abnormal?
Impossible
