TEMPORAL LOBE

Responsible for: auditory processing
Areas:
- Hippocampus for memory
- Amygdala for emotions
Lesion: epilepsy—> visual and auditory hallucinations and memory lapses.
Also affected by dementia
Damage: hearing sequences, motion detection, language comprehension, naming objects, speech production (lacks verbs and nouns), face recognition
OCCIPITAL LOBE

Lesion: CORTICAL BLINDNESS
HTM—> edema—> temporary loss of vision
