Percentage of Market Share
This is the percentage of the business’s total share of the industry sales for a particular good or service. Percentage of market share can be used to evaluate if the business’s share of the market is increasing or decreasing.
Net Profit Figures
The total amount of profit a business makes after the cost of business expenses and taxes are taken out. Net profit figures can be used to evaluate if the business is earning more or less money in given time periods.
Rate of productivity growth
The rate which productivity has changed at the business compared to the previous year. Rate of productivity growth can be used to measure if the new change in the business has resulted in higher or lower productivity.
Number of sales
The amount of goods or services sold by the business in a given period of time. Number of sales can be used to measure the increase or decrease in sales over a given period, giving the business information to act on accordingly.
Rate of staff absenteeism
The number of workers who don’t turn up for work when scheduled to do so. The rate of staff absenteeism can be used to give indication to employee’s satisfaction with the workplace.
Rate of staff turnover
The number of staff which are leaving the business. The rate of staff turnover can also be used to give indication to employee satisfaction with the work place.
Level of Wastage
The amount of waste generated by the business. The level of wastage can be used to measure of more or less waste is being produced between different time periods.
Number of customer complaints
The amount of customers who have contacted the business to express disappointment with their service. The number of customer complaints can be used to monitor how the business if performing. An increase in customer complaints could indicate that something is going wrong with the business’s services.
Number of workplace accidents
The amount of accidents at the business which result in injury to employees or damage to property at the business. The number of workplace accidents can be used to judge the current safety standards at the business and whether or not they are improving or worsening the problems.
Number of website hits
The amount of users visiting the website of the business. The number of website hits can be used to judge how many customers are finding and buying from a business. An increase or decrease in website hits can be used to monitor interest in the business.
