What is the historical significance of Kilchoman site?
It is said to be the 1st place to have been involved in distilling in Scotland. Agnes, the daughter of a Baron of Ulster arrived on Islay 800 years ago with a physician named MacBeth who is said to have brought the recipe for “the water of life.”
