Centralised control to a high degree
Totalitarian
Centralised control over all aspects of a state to an extremely high degree
Ideology
The group of beliefs and ideas a leader has
Social policies
Policies affecting human aspects of the state. Particularly affecting living conditions, quality of life and welfare
Economic policies
Policies affecting economic areas. Taxes, inflation, labour, national ownership, budgets, forecasts and goals.
Domestic policies
Economic, social and political policies having affect within the country’s borders.
Cultural policies
Policies affecting the arts and culture
Political policies
Policies relating to government, it’s ideology, it political goals
Internal opposition
Opposition faced from groups or individuals within the same country
Propaganda
Particular doctrines or principles propagated by an organisation.
The arts
The humanities. Music, philosophy, fine art.
Minorities
Groups making up the population which are not of a majority, or a comparatively large populous
Popular support
Willing support from a large number of people, ie the general public. Appealing to common people
Single Party State
A state with one political party
