What is Concept and Nature?
Judaism is a monotheistic religion.
Why do some Jews use G-d instead of God?
They believe it is disrespectful to write God.
God as one?
God is a single, whole, indivisible being, God is the only being who should be praised. Everything in the universe has been created and sustained by this one God.
What is the first line of the Shema?
Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the lord alone.
Jewish beliefs on creation?
God took four days to make the universe fit to support life amd he took two days o create all living creatures. God then rested and made the seventh day holy and Jews clebrate the shabbat on this day.
God as the sustainer?
God sustainst the world so all species can live their.
God as Lawgiver
There are 613 laws in the Torah which are called the Mitzvot. Jews believ God has given them laws to follow.
God as Judge
Jews believe God judges them bases on how they follow the Mitzvot, during the festiva, of Rosh Hashanah God judges people for their actions over the past year.
What is the Shekhinah?
The presence of God on the Earth.
Evil and Free will
God gave people free will because he wants people to be able to choose to do good. In order for this to happen, evil must exist.
What are the Mitzvot between man and God?
These are mitzvot that tell Jews how they can improve their relationships with God.
What is the mitzvot man and man?
These are Mitzvot that tell Jews how to improve their relationships with other people.
Jews belief on heaven?
Many Jews belive that if they follow their faith correctly, they will go to heaven or Gan Eden (Paradise)
Jews belief on Sheol?
Some Jews believe people do not enter heave they go to Sheol, a place of waiting here souls are cleansed.
When does Judgement happen?
Some Jews believe that they will be judged as soon as they die, when others believe God will judge everybody on the Day of Judgement.
