-Boycott applied to lawyers etc who faced attacks
Law for the Restoration of Professional Civil Service
-7th April 1933
-prevented non-aryans from working for the state e,g, CS, teachers, doctors, lawyers
-Hindenburg insisted those from WW1 etc be exempt but this was dropped when he died
-37,000 jews left Ger 1933 and further anti-semitic legislation targeted doctors etc
impact of early anti-semitic policy
-doctors= 10% jewish banned April 1933- limited impact
-Education= April 1933 Law against overcrowding of Ger schls reduced jews but weren’t pushed out fully until 1938
-press= Oct 1933 Reich Press laws
-legal= jews were 16% of legal profession and 60% continued to work
Nuremburg
-September 1935
-The Law for the Protection of German Blood and Honour: prohibit marriage/ sexual relations between jews and non-jews
-The Reich Citizenship Law (15th Sept): Jews lost all citizenship rights

-Aryan women left Jewish husbands
-documentary proof of ancestry became important of maintaining rights
-false documents bought on black market
-companies wouldn’t employ jews
-‘Mischlinge’= crossbreeds able to live normal lives
-signs ordering Nazis to keep out
