Why may it be an issue that the symptoms of S overlap with other disorders?
A
Makes it harder to decide whether symptoms are of S or depression.
Could be argued it is up to the psychiatrists opinion to decide and two may not draw the same conclusions.
This leads to inconsistencies

What may the impact of the symptoms of S overlapping with other disorders?
A
Someone may be incorrectly prescribed medication.
Given anti psychotics such as Chlorpromazine when they do not require them.
Symptoms of their actual disorders may become increasingly worse if they take medication they do not need.
Stigma of being diagnosed with S is far worse than depression
