5 Pillars
- Shahada - God and Muhammad (There is no God except Allah and Muhammad is hismessenger, creed)

- Ramadan - Fasting (also called Sawm, no drinking, eating, sex, drugs until evening, during the month of Ramadan which is when Muhammad received the message of Allah)
- Hajj - Journey to the Kaaba in Mecca once in your life unless your disabled, poor, sick or can’t go for some particular reason

-pilgrimage to the Kaaba in Mecca (Islam’s most holiest shrine)
-done in the first 15 days of Hijja, the month of pilgrimages
-During the hajj, the festival of sacrifice is celebrated (refers to Abraham’s test of his faith sacrificing his son Isaac)

Night of power and excellence:
Islamic festival that commemorates the night on which God first revealed the Qurʾān to the Prophet Muhammad through the angel Gabriel (Jibrīl). It is believed to have taken place on one of the final 10 nights of Ramadan
