Council of Trent
-held between 1545 and 1563 in Trent, Northern Italy
-Roman Catholic religious leaders were meant to settle doctrinal issues of the Catholic Church
-Prompted by the Protestant Reformation is a counter-reformation
- the council was successful in removing indulgences
Eastern Schism(aka The great Schism)
-Constantine makes Turkey the second centre of Rome which creates a language and distance barrier
-A division between Latin and Greek churches that separates Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox.
Emperor Constantine-Edict of Milan/Nicene Creed
-When constantine converted to Christianity he lifted it’s ban
-It was a turning point in Christian history
-Tried to unify Christians nd resolve issues that divided churches by establishing the Nicene Creed.

Protestant Reformation
Saul/St. Paul – Damascus
-Paul was a Jew who persecuted Jesus
-He did not beleive that the messiah could have died like a criminal
-Jesus talked to him in the sky
-Saul went blind for 3 days
-He got to damascus and Ananias & Jesus cured his blindness.
-Paul started preaching the gospel throughout the world
-He was now named Saul
-He wrote the letters of the epistles
