Ipratropium Bromide: Introduction
A
An anticholinergic bronchodilator. It inhibits the vagal reflexes that mediate bronchospasm
Combined with a nebulised short-acting B2 antagonist (eg Salbutamol), ibratropium bromide produces significantly greater bronchodilation than a short-acting B-2 agonist alone

A
Severe Bronchospasm:
Adult: Severe to life-threatening asthma or COPD
Paed: Sever to life-threatening asthma
