Aspirin: Introduction
A
Aspirin has the following pharmacological actions:
1) Analgesia
2) Anti-Inflammatory
3) Anti-Pyretic
4) Anti-Platelet Aggregation
Significantly reduces mortality in Acute Myocardial Infarction by minimising platelet aggregation and thrombus formation in order to retard the progression of coronary artery thrombosis.

Heart Burn, nausea, GI bleed
Increased bleeding time
