Sucinylcholine
Ultrashort acting paralytic ACH receptor antagonist causing flaccid paralysis
Atropine
Muscarinic antagonist of PSNS. used to treat bradycardia
Vecuronium
competes at the motor endplate for cholinergic receptors causing flacid paralysis lasts 25-40 min.
Does not cause Problematic hypotension or tachycardia, affected by liver failure
Rocuronium
Rapid neuromuscular agent (15-20 sec)
thiopental
ultrashort acting anesthetic with rapid onset of action. risk of hypotension
Ketamine
Rapid acting anesthetic that induces a dissociative state.
midazolam
Short acting CNS depressant, which also causes a lack of recal. sedates within 2 min.
Propofol
Na channel blocker, rapid onset puts people out but doesn’t paralyze them, some CV depression
Etomidate
rapid acting hypnotic, sedative with no analgesic or amnestic properties rapid onset, no CV depression. Vomiting and myoclonus
