Intros Flashcards
(At the same time) 1: You know, I recently…
(At the same time) 2: Did you ever think…
1: What are you doing?
2: Introducing the next scene.
1: Well so am I!
2: What are you talking about?
1: I’m introducing the next scene!
2: I was here first!
1: You were not!
2: Was so!
1: I totally called it!
2: Wait a minute!
1: Wait, wait, hold on a minute here… I know I come after that last scene, but I don’t remember YOUR scene!
2: Yours was stupid. We took a vote. It’s out of the show.
1: Ex-CUSE me?
2: We thought my scene was funnier!
1: You didn’t like it? With the guy going through the car wash?
2: Where are we going to get car wash brushes anyway? This is a black box!
1: When were you going to tell me?
2: We thought my scene about the crazy producer was better.
1: They’re actors! Of course they think a scene about acting is better! We’ve already got, like, six of those!
2: Come ON! Get OFF already!
1: No!
2: (pause, then) Come OOON.
1: I’m not leaving!
2: Me either!
1: You’re seriously going to stay on stage?
2: Yes! You’re being mean!
1: (shoves 2) Get OFF!
2: (shove 1) No, YOU get off!
1: Fine! I guess we’ll both just stay here!
2: Fine!

- Squat down together and push away, launching to opposite sides of the stage
1: Okay that does it! Get off the stage right now or I’m gonna lose it!
2: No way! You had your chance! If you don’t get off I’ll break your face!
1: I’m not getting off this stage until I present my scene lampooning New York stubbornness and the way we refuse to give up even in ridiculous situations!
2: And I’M not leaving until I present MY scene about egocentric actors and our unwillingness to give up the spotlight!
(realizing what we said) 1: Um… Scene.
RUN AWAY, BITCH!
