Why is rehab important
prolonged inflammation can lead to prolonged atrophy
6-12 weeks without trauma
Soft tissue strength is dependent on level of physical stress placed on the tissue
Immobilisation results in decreased strength and elastic stifness

progressive overload exercises
some pain is ok. VAS scale less than 2-3/10
Psychological support to reduce fear avoidance behaviours and encourage compliance
